Comfortable and holds in place wellFinally found the perfect hair tie! Holds my hair in place all day without breaking my hair when I remove it. And it fits on my wrist so comfortably any time it’s not in my hair, so I haven’t even lost it. I’ve been using the same one daily for a month already as it holds it shape nicely. And there’s 30 in the package so the package is going to last me years. I think I’m going to buy a few extra packages for friends cause it’d make a great gift for anyone with long hair who is also environmentally conscious, doesn’t want their hair breaking and doesn’t want to lose them! And I guess if you do lose one, it’ll decompose, no harm done.

Great that they’re organic but…Love that these are organic & toxin free but they definitely stretch out immediately after the first use. Wish they retained their original size for longer.

StrongI have thick hair, and these hair ties work great. The hair ties are strong but still stretchy. I haven’t used them long enough to know how well they last. I love that they’re good for the earth!

On par with the restI was skeptical about it losing its stretch but it seems to hold up use after use. Love that it’s biodegradable.

Broke first time I used 🙁I was so excited to try these hair ties and first thing I noticed was that the part where the band is glued together is very rough and sharp. Hurts your hands as you’re trying to wrap it around your hair. Then it just snapped immediately. The glue did not hold it in place at all. I ended up just tying a knot to continue to use the band but I would never purchase again.

Nice quality and functional plastic-free hair ties – made in China.The selling point for these hair ties from Generation For Change is that they are made of organic cotton and natural rubber – as opposed to the typical ones you find at the drugstore that are made of polyester. I go out of my way to source products made of natural materials rather than contributing to microplastics.Generation For Change boasts that they are “proudly Canadian owned and operated”. But, these are manufactured in China. I’d love to see these hair ties made in Canada to be more in line with the brand’s ethos.So, aside from the inherent benefits of these hair ties, how do they perform? Well, these are great! They are great quality and functional. I use these at the gym for keeping my hair out of my face. For reference, I have a lot of straight and fine shoulder length hair. These fit comfortably around my wrist but I have particularly thin wrists. These hair ties do a great job and I have no complaints.

Breaks my hairThese would be great if the manufacturing process to attach the ends together into a circle made a smooth connection. But it does not. It is rough and snags then breaks my hair every time I try to use one.

They are certified organic cotton. They are dyed with natural dyes. They are black. They are made with natural rubber.When I saw these as Plant-Based hair ties I was curious as to what they are. I never heard of a plant based hair tie. I wondered how they would work. Would they work the same?Upon receiving, they come in a box I can toss in the recycling or in the compost. The hair ties are stretched on cardboard. The cardboard I can easily recycle or compost.I have used the same one all week. I am amazed of how GREAT it works. I was expecting something flimsy. These work like every other hair tie in this style that I have ever bought.I pulled up shoulder length hair and put a hair tie in. The hair tie stretches well. It contracts just as well. It doesn’t stretch out like others. It took me three twists like other hair ties.It held my hair ALL DAY. It held my hair through a martial arts work out. It held my hair through cleaning the house and through working in the garden. These never loosened in my hair making me have to redo them. These worked extremely well.Pulling them out of my hair- These I do have to unravel from my hair. Pulling it out all at once, I pull out strands of hair also.Over the week of use, they did stretch a bit but still works very well in my hair.For me, These are a great substitute for hair ties that are more environmentally friendly especially if they biodegrade, something I did not get to try. I guess my question would be how long does it take to biodegrade. Regardless, it is a step in the right direction and I can feel better about purchasing these.

Awesome hair ties, multiple uses I was a bit concerned due to the conflicting reviews,but wanted to try anyways.These elastics are strong and durable. I made a video so you can see they dont stretch out or break, they are still super stretchy. I also use them to hold my kids curtains together sometimes, work great and they still dont stretch out. They fit comfortably.

Excellent for fine hairThese hair elastics are fantastic!I have thin hair and often find it challenging to find an elastic that will hold my hair tightly in a ponytail, these hair ties exceed my expectations. I’ve tested these elastics during my workouts and they have held my hair so well. They are perfectly stretchy and clearly excellent quality.I also love that these elastics are biodegradable. Anything I can do to protect the planet is important to me, especially since I have a small child.
