What Makes Our Eco Dish Brush Set Different, You Ask?
Our natural kitchen brush kit contains no plastic. None. Worldwide, we produce 300 million tonnes of plastic waste every year. Up to 95% of all plastic waste is not recycled. It’s time to use less plastic. Each natural dish brush included in this kit will eventually return to the earth completely, making it a perfect addition to your collection of natural cleaning products. By choosing our environmentally-minded washing-up brush you are reducing your home’s plastic waste and moving towards a healthier future for our planet.
.
Our washing-up brushes are sustainably sourced and made primarily from natural materials, such as beechwood and sisal. Each wood dish brush also contains a small amount of stainless steel, which connects the beechwood handle with the sisal brush head for ultimate durability – making it 100% plastic-free! Each set contains numerous brush heads that transform the brush handle into 3 eco cleaning brushes.
.
Wooden Dish Brush Set for an Eco Kitchen
Sisal plant fiber has been used for a variety of applications for centuries – it’s time to start using them in our kitchens. The sisal plant fibers make an excellent kitchen cleaning brush as well as being the perfect wooden kitchen brushes for dishes, including those stubborn pots and pans!
.
Three Interchangeable Washing-Up Brush Heads This handy set contains the right replacement dish brush head for any situation. Use the lighter colored, soft brush head with sisal bristles for gentle cleaning of plates, cups, and cutlery. Use the darker colored brush head as a wood dish scrubber for more stubborn pots, pans, and trays. The brush heads can also be used independently, without the handle, to get to those really hard-to-reach places – making them a great vegetable scrubbing brush. And the best thing is: When your bristles do finally wear out you need only replace the brush head, not the whole thing! Our environmentally-minded dish brush heads can be removed, swapped, and replaced quickly and easily – What more could you want from a natural scrubber brush?
.

Each environmentally-minded dish sponge can last between 4-6 weeks, depending on use. For best results, allow the eco kitchen sponge to dry thoroughly between uses.

Brush Heads for All SituationsOur wooden dish brush comes with three brush heads equipped with both soft and tough bristles. This means they are more than a match for any kitchen or dish cleaning scenario. |
Completely NaturalOur materials are all completely natural. The bristles are made out of fibres from the sisal plant (Agave Sisalana, native of Mexico), and Palmyra (palm leaves). The handles are made from beech wood, grown in Germany. This means the entire thing will return to the earth entirely. Even the small stainless steel fittings will eventually corrode to nothing. |
Replaceable Brush HeadsWhen your natural brush heads do finally wear out, you won’t need to replace the whole thing! Instead, our modular design means you can switch out the brush head, making for much less waste all round. |
Low Impact PackagingEven the packaging is sustainable. All to often you may buy an “sustainable” product, only to have it delivered in plastic! Well not us. You won’t find any plastic here. Not a sausage. |

Caring for your natural dish brush…
Our brush heads can even be used independently from the handle to get at those hard-to-reach places!
Each brush head should last 4 to 8 weeks depending on use.
Allow brush heads to dry completely between uses. For best results hang up to dry in a well ventilated place.
Avoid using undue force and allow tough stains to adequately soak to extend your brush heads life.

Brush up on your knowledge
The bristles on our natural friendly dish brush come out of fibres from the sisal plant (Agave Sisalana). The sisal plant is native to southern Mexico, but is now grown all over the world.
Its fibre was first cultivated by the Aztecs and Mayans to create crude fabrics and papers. Its many applications now include rope, twine, buffing cloth, carpets and even dartboards, (along with brush bristles of course).
The loofah plant (sometimes spelt luffa) is a vine and member of the cucumber family.
The fruit of the loofah plant looks similar to conventional cucumbers and is edible if harvested early. Loofah fruit is widely consumed throughout Asia.
Our sisal plant bristles come from Mexico where the sisal plant actually originates.
Our beech wood is sourced in Germany, one of the most densely forested countries in the world.
Our loofahs are grown responsibly in Shandong Province, China, where they are also farmed for food.

Not impressedI’ve used one of these from another brand before for a year, and I am not impressed with these.I’ve had these for half a year now, and the wood handle has gotten tougher. It actually gives me (very minor) blisters when I have a lot of dishes to wash. The handle is very thin, making it hard to grip after some time. For some reason, these also have a pretty annoying splatter effect, which I didn’t expérience with the other brand. It kind of gets all the dish gunk everywhere, which is gross.Lastly, I’ve noticed the wood has gotten much darker since I first got it. I think it’s starting to mold or rot. This may be due to the fact that I am leaving it in a sponge holder in a large French style sink, causing it to retain more moisture. For the other brand I used previously, I left it to dry on the counter instead. But I live in Northern California (pretty dry here), and if anything, I feel like it might have more surface area to air out in the sponge holder, so I don’t see why it should mold more quickly than the other one. I feel like it might be the wood itself. Oh, I just realized the other brand was made out of bamboo, which now makes sense. Yeah, I’d recommend the bamboo route.

Perfect for a nice looking aestheticIf you’re anything like me and our obsessed with aesthetic of everything this is perfect for you! I love that food doesn’t get caught in the scrub brush head and that 3 more heads come with the brush! The added sponge is great too!!

We love thisIt’s pretty, sustainable, and works just as well as any scrubby. We leave ours out on the counter because it looks so nice. It lives with our solid soap dish which is a must have addition to this product.

To buy or not to buy, that is the question?!I’m trying to go the eco-friendly route this year for 2023. Personally, I feel like this brush is awkward to use. It does come with other brushes that you can change out, but it is kinda hard to remove them to change them out. I ordered this thinking that I could throw away my old sponges and be able to really get the grime off of dishes and being more eco friendly, since it does say that it is compostable.. Honestly, in my opinion I don’t feel like it’s really that effective unless you take it off the handle and really put your elbow into it. But that’s not why I bought it. I wanted to use it, in its whole form. Now it could just be me. So I don’t want to turn you away from this product, if this is what you’re looking for. But I don’t think I would purchase this again. It’s good if you want to get into glasses or jars and clean them, or those hard to get areas like tops to lids… But other dishes are no bueno. But then again, this is my opinion and I don’t want anyone to shy away from this if this is what you’re looking for.

Great for Sustainability of the Environment, but Not For My WristsThis is great, however, it would be even better if the handle was angled like a lot of other dish brushes. I either have to deal with banging my hand/the brush against whatever I am cleaning, or having to angle, hold, and tilt my dishes. I have poor wrists, so it is not the best if you have mobility issues, but will be cheaper in the end to buy replacement bristles than replace the whole brush. Otherwise, this is a great product!

Solid wood so much better than bambooThis solid wood brush should last, unlike bamboo that splits where it is glued.

Effective but unsure about longevityThese look very nice and my mother-in-law is jealous so I will be ordering another set for her. On first use the strong bristles made my pan cleaner than it’s been in a long time, but over the following couple of weeks the bristles on both hardness of brush seem to be squishing in very easily so not sure how I’ll be able to carry on with hard scrubbing.
