Can be washed, sort ofIn case you were wondering if this could be re-used, while camping for example, the answer is yes. It withstood several light washings with a damp sponge and even one washing-off of sticky eggs. Putting it under running water for the eggs caused it to absorb water and warp but it was still usable.

Different than photosPlate size is correct, 6×4. But the photos show a plate with shallower and shorter rim/sides. And I got plates with taller and deeper sides. So there is a smaller flat plate surface. It’s almost more like a small basket and not a plate.

Great for homemade floating lanternsI used these to make floating lanterns for my daughter’s wedding. I used plain white lunch bags with the top folded over twice and hot glued them to these plates. These ended up being significantly cheaper than buying lanterns and actually floated better due to the curved sides. They were still floating the next day.

Too small to be used at a cookoutWe all know how much food we like to pile on our plate at a cookout. I got these for my end of summer backyard party. But they were too small. They are only large enough to fit a slice of cake. I returned these and traded them for the larger square plates which were perfect and I got many compliments.
