BioGrade Trash Bags use EPI additives (ASTM 6954). EPI additives can facilitate break down (over many years) when placed in an appropriate compost facility environment. Extent and quickness of break down will depend on surrounding environment and product formulation. EPI TDPA can facilitate total break down of polyethylene bags within 24 – 36 months given an appropriate disposal environment.

plenty strong enough for grass and leavesi just got these and tried them out. i got 40-45 gallon bags and i put 5 lawnmower bags of heavy grass in them. i was worried about ripping them when i pulled the bag out of a 33 gallon can. i did not have to worry, they were plenty strong enough. i could have easily fit another lawnmower bag once the bag was out of the can and the bag would still have been fine.

Yes a little weaker but still work and much less plastic consumedYou won’t be able to completely stuff every cubic inch of this trash bag like you would a normal one. Also works best if you don’t have a lot of wet stuff in them. Since I do a lot of composting, most of my trash is dry light stuff, these bags work great. I’m guessing they use 10-15% of the plastic of a normal bag.

Need to RethinkI was so hopeful these bags would replace the ones that are not biodegradable that I was using and still using…sadly. These have no handle and have to be tied…not easy. They are smaller than the 13 gal. I normally use so don’t hold nearly as much. However, I will find another use for them and LOVE that they are biodegradable, so all is well:)

Biodegradable Makes It Worth ItI try to not use as much plastic as possible. These bags are a little thin but have not broken open yet. Also pricey but being biodegradable makes it worthwhile. So far I would purchase again.

Great, but thinThese bags are amazing, if they are in fact biodegradable. That I can’t attest to. They are however much thinner than your typical large trash bag you would find at the store, but as long as you’re not putting huge bulky pointy items in the bags, you should be okay. I would definitely purchase again, if they are biodegradable. Oh boy, I hope so!

Good compost bin linerThese bags is thick enough not to rip easy like other I been use. Big and tall enough for my 13 gallons recycle bin. I would give it 5 stars if came with drawstring tie. But for what it coast. It works for me
