Very niceI got these to cover the dough while it was proofing during bread making. They are made of a nice thick cotton fabric. The elastic around the edge is nicely covered in a band of bias binding. The sewing and finished product are of good quality and attractive.I wish they made them for rectangular loaf pans and casserole dishes.the only reason I gave it 3 stars for cleanability is that they have to be laundered instead of just wiped down, but that is just the way with cotton. Definitely a good purchase

Love them for proofing breadI’ve started making my own bread and baked goods. I’ve tried a few different ones and this set is a keeper! They fit vintage Pyrex bowls perfectly.

Love the Bowl CoversThe bowl covers work great. Am only using the large one for a 12 inch bowl but I would highly recommend these covers!

I love these to keep my standing mixer covered.I wish you could order different sizes individually. I would love smaller ones and another of the largest. Overall they look nice and the fabric is good quality

Great covers for kombuchaI came across these, while looking for Kombucha covers. (The covers labeled for kombucha appeared cheap) I purchased in both blue and red, so I can separate my jun (honey fed) and booch (sugar fed) scoby cultures. The smallest size bowl covers fit my 2 gallon glass continuous brew jars perfectly, and I do love that they are 100% cotton….I needed breathable covers for the fermenting process. I was tired of using coffee filters with large rubber bands and cotton towels tossed on top. These are a far neater and prettier option. On the Bonus side:The medium sized covers are perfect for my 6qt KA Stand Mixer bowls…for covering yeast rising dough. The large sized covers fit my largest Pyrex bowls, which will be great for covering salads and such…so they can still breathe vs. the plastic lids.*I removed one star, because I think they are a little pricey for being made in China. Otherwise, the material & craftsmanship is of very good quality.

Not a plastic wrap replacementLike others here, I got these as a less wasteful alternative to plastic wrap. While these do an excellent job of covering food and even my largest prep bowl fits the largest cover, it is not a completely adequate replacement for plastic wrap. In particular, things that need to stay moist are not served well by these covers. Leftovers like pasta, potato salad, curry and custard pie have dried out, turned hard, or developed an unpleasant skin at the surface. They will stay moist for maybe a few hours more than they would if left uncovered, but at $30 I’d have expected them to be more than a slightly more convenient alternative to draping a kitchen towel over a bowl. They can be made more useful if you impregnate the covers with beeswax to prevent moisture from escaping, or soak the cover in water before using it with sensitive foods, but again, at the price point, I shouldn’t have to put more effort into making your product useful. For short-term use (eating within a day, or proofing) they are adequate, but if you’re looking for a 1:1 alternative to a plastic wrap/foil habit, be prepared to have to work around a cloth cover’s limitations.

They Do the JobI struggled for a while to find a bowl cover large enough for our huge salad bowls, which is why I was okay to spend as much as I did on these. Frankly I think they’re a bit too expensive for what they are, but I wanted to find something that wasn’t plastic. We’ve been using them constantly since I bought them, so we’re saving a ton of aluminum foil.

Extremely Well MadeI’ve been using these cotton lids to cover my kombucha crocks and over my water pitchers. They are extremely well made and allow my kombucha to get air without any contaminating influences. I’ve washed them many times and they keep their color and shape well. The large size even fits over the large stock pan with handles that I use to make the tea for the kombucha. It lets the air in but the tea protected while it cools to room temperature. The elastic seems to be strong and resilient. I’ve liked these bowl covers so well that I bought a second set!
