Starts a fire!I’ve never used fat sticks before. These are awesome! We put one or two in when starting it – only have to add another if things aren’t going well. They’re pretty small so I have taken a couple backpacking to help with the (legal) backwoods campfires. The smell is fresh and natural when sitting in the box – no smell when burning.

Worth the moneyI am 79 year old knife maker and depend on my wood stove for heat in my 24 x 40 shop. I received my box of fat wood kindling today and immediately set to work building a fire. After laying the firewood in the firebox I was able to easily start it up using a single piece of fat wood, igniting it with my bic lighter and no paper. It took me back to my younger years while elk hunting with my dad using pitch wood we gathered from a pitch stump. No muss, no fuss. Highly recommend this product.
