AWESOME!I have lighting fixtures that hold 3 bulbs each. The brightness and clean white light is really uplifting! I am an artist and need “natural” sunlight to paint accurate colors, but also because I have a mood disorder and get depressed in low and florescent lighting. What’s great about these bulbs is the low cost of LED combined with 5000k which is equivalent to natural sunlight. With 3 of these bulbs in every room, I am bathed in sun LIGHT but not the HEAT! AWESOME!

Make sure you look at KELVIN rating.I never paid a lot of attention to light bulbs beyond watt rating and lumens. I will be paying attention to KELVIN rating in future. These are 5000K. Much brighter than any 100 watt bulb I ever bought. Make sure you want a lot of light. These are very bright for a 8.5 watt bulb. Very pleasantly surprised with these so far.

Very good bulb. Lasts 3,000 hrs, NOT 15,000A very good, bright, bulb. Life is similar to old incandescents, BUT color is much better, and it’s much more energy efficient. But their lives are nowhere near the promise, and actually almost the same as incandescents. (The latter you can prove to yourself by touch: these are much cooler.)***Despite the explanation following here in my review, I would buy them again, because these are the most reliable ones I’ve found.***The cost of course is also much greater than the old incandescents; I doubt there’s enough energy savings to really justify oir wholesale switch to LEDs. But we have so been forced. With these, I just wish the manufacturer would be more realistic on the published/box-shown life. I started tracking the life of each bulb. So far, having had to replace three bulbs, they are lasting approximately, generously speaking, no more than nine months. (Generously speaking because I delay often a few weeks climbing around to replace a single bulb.) 9 months x 4.4 weeks/month x 7 days/week x 12 hrs per day in our recessed, uncovered kitchen light cans is 3,326.4 hours. Not 15,000 over 2 years as shown on the box. So the promise of LED savings is really not met. The bulbs are upside down and semi-covered—which does not violate the box criteria—so the base builds up heat, and this is potentially the cause of the shortened life. It is not worth sending individual bulbs back with paperwork to gain a few dollars, so I haven’t bothered.All-in-all, I will buy them again, as they are consistent in their lives.

Bright butThe light is bright but we found several bulbs flickering. This was our second order. In the first box, we found a few flickering light bulbs but the second box contained more. It is frustrating when you change the bulb, it flickers. So you change to another one, and it flickers again… I know that it is not the light fixture since the next one worked. Quality control seems to be something they can work on.

Good valueI was building a new house and needed lots of bulbs. These were economical since I needed so many. Of course I had to get some other styles as well. They seem well built and the metal threaded part is straight and even on all of them. I have had no problems with any of these bulbs and have had them for close to 6 months now.
