Loved loved them to disappointedI bought 2 sets of these solar lanterns. Loved them and they are still shining bright. However I bought another 2 sets and 2 out of the 4 barely work. Very dim light to no light at all after just being on for an hour. And I’ve only had them 2 months. The first set I have had for several months and as I said, still lighting up nightly. Was the second set a defective batch? Hit or miss items?

faulty ProductOne of the lights came disassembled and I had to put it together. Also THIS light comes on at dark and never shuts off when day comes. I have to go out and shut it off manually every day. The other one in the pack of 2 is fine. Disappointed that I am past the return date. Was going to order another 2 pack but now debating.

Awesome (almost) Solar LightsThis is our 2nd purchase of these solar lights. We bought a set for our Pelican statues for our pool area when the originals bit the dust. One of the original lights is still barely working and another set we bought from another supplier also bit the dust shortly after buying them. So those two remaining lights are now sitting on the pavement. These look so much better and they attached to our statues without any issues.They’re so much brighter, that we bought two more sets to hand around our pool.These are great!******UPDATE*******Well, we were all set to buy 2 more sets when the lights stopped lasting more than a few hours. It’s taken some investigation and trial and error, but I have found the problem. When you first get these and place the batteries in them, the lights last until morning. Then the next day you’ll come out in the morning when it’s dark, and they’re out. After about a 5 days or so, the lights last no more than 2-3 hours.I thought that maybe it was the batteries, so we replaced the batteries with new solar rechargeable batteries. Again, the first night they came on very bright and the next morning they were still on. Then the next morning they were out so I checked on them and again, each day the lights lasted less and less time. They now last 2-3 hours.They’re so sharp looking so I decided to spend a little time in figuring out why they weren’t lasting as long. On a hunch, I turned the lights off when it came time for them to come on. The next day they recharged some more and we turned them back on. This time the lights came on and lasted 4-5 hours. It appears that the lights don’t have a big enough solar charger plate on top of them to charge the batteries enough to hold a charge more than a few hours. The solution is to leave the switches off until you’re ready for them to shine. We’re currently flipping them off and going to see how long they’ll last if they’re off all week.Not sure I will buy any more until I see what we get for this last test. At $22 a pop, I’ve already invested over $66 in these and was hoping they’d last at least 4-6 hours.
