A good alternative to latex bandaidsIt came to my attention recently that I’m actually allergic to latex. Who knew? Not me. But in any case, regular latex band-aids were causing more discomfort than the wounds they were trying to cover. I found these band-aids and was a little thrown by the price, but you do get a LOT of band-aids for in the box and they’re not going to set off any allergic reactions to latex, which is great.I work with glass as a hobby and often accidentally cut my fingertips. I noticed that when I wash my hands, the band-aid has a difficult time adhering to itself again when it’s wet. The part of the adhesive that’s stuck directly to my skin still sticks great, but the end that’s adhered to itself curls and comes unstuck. It’s still very sticky, though, and once the band-aid dries (maybe 3-5-ish minutes) it sticks back to itself just fine and stays as though there was never an issue.Honestly, I’m just glad to have an option for band-aids that won’t set my skin off into uncomfortable rashes, so I’ll take the mild inconvenience. They’re really soft, comfortable bandaids and I love that they’re both eco-friendly and fine for my skin.

Life Changing BandagesI have sensitive skin, mosquitos adore me and I have struggled with skin picking/dermatillomania/excoriation disorder my whole life. For years I have dealt with scabs that won’t heal because the adhesive on regular bandages gives me an allergic reaction, making my skin itchy which would lead me to remove the bandage and scratch at the area creating more/bigger scabs. Sensitive skin bandages were no help either because the adhesive was so weak that when I would try to apply the bandage, it wouldn’t even stick to my skin. For a while hydrocolloid bandages helped until my skin developed an allergy to those as well. I love these FEBU bandages because they come in different sizes, have a lot of bandages per pack, and most importantly, they actually stick and stay on my skin without giving me an allergic reaction! Since I finally have an effective barrier I am completely scab free for the first time in over a decade. These scabs have caused such self esteem issues and made me want to cover up my body and now I’m actually excited to wear shorts in the summer. I hope they never stop making these because they have been an absolute life saver for me.

Pretty good, feels a little wasteful stillSo I am accident prone and get cuts on my hands a lot. The only issue with that is, even if I touch condensation, it seeps through and the adhesive begins failing. Even if I have a sandwich with any condiments, it will seep into the bandage and I need to replace them. So what should last me an entire day, depending on what I’m doing, can last a few hours at most, ten minutes at worse.

FEBU Eco-Friendly Organic Bamboo Fabric Bandages for Sensitive Skin | 75 Count Variety Pack |Love these FEBU eco-friendly band-aids bandages! They stay on well and leave no residue or tacky feeling on my skin. If you are wearing on a finger and you wash with soap and water for 30 seconds – the adhesive will start to fail. But they generally withstand some moisture without coming off – just not direct, full on soap and water activity. They dry quickly too once they do get wet. And absolutely no irritation after 3 days of wearing – even for someone with adhesive and latex allergies. They are pale green color so will not blend in with skin tones. But I will take the green thumb look and hope these are a baby step towards alternatives to plastics and latex based band-aids.

good choice for sensitive and allergiesI have no problem using these bandaids. I am very sensitive, I swell underneath, turn extremely red and itch. These did none of these things. Will need to replace once a day or more so carry a few with you.

  6. Geek Girls Rule

WONDERFUL alternative to regular bandaidsI was skeptical when I purchased these but I am thrilled with how well these stay on and without irritation. I’ve tried several brands and until FEBU only the “name brand” was both gentle and durable. But those weren’t as soft as these and those didn’t survive getting wet like these do. And they cost less per bandage than the name brand and one box contains 75 bandages! Buy them. It’s worth it.

Bamboo Band-aideWonderful to sensitive skin, no smell, no itch or burn. Ease to apply and sticks even through showers or dishes. Sometimes there is a gummy residue after removing the Band-aide but the skin is left soft and without irritation.

Five star product, three star delivery.Product seems great, concerned now about the sterilization of the product as they were strewn all throughout the prime shipment box. The delivery box was not damaged, so it was not a ups issue, more so Amazon tossed broken boxes in my shipment. It happened with another package of bandaids I had ordered as well.
