The absolute best home item. Save $$$$$This is awesome. Always use this filter in all my cars.. always! Then I find out I San get one for my home. This will save us hundreds if not thousands over its lifetime. It just requires some K and N cleaning juice and bam back into place to filter your air out again. My house has less lint, dust, and needs less cleaning my furniture which means less of my time so I can do other things like leave this review. LolGood day,Mr2

Still deciding if it is worth the workI have had this filter for over 6 months. I have cleaned it twice. I use K&N air filters on my bike, so thought I would try it for the house. As this is large, it does take some effort to clean. I guess, in the long run, I will save money, but don’t think all the extra work is worth it. Just my two cents.

Instantly solved an airflow issueOur A/C was whistling and driving my spouse crazy since he recently got hearing aids. I bought this to replace the regular filters for that alone. Immediate side benefit was an increased air flow. The filter ‘looked’ clean and had been recently replaced. However there must have been dry wall dust in it. The whistling stopped and the air was warmer. All the vents were putting out more air. Thanks for a quality product!

Great cost saverThis filter has been wonderful for my hvac system and I am super happy with the quality of the filter. Wish they could be a little cheaper, but they beat the hell out of needing a new $10 paper filter every 6 weeks

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLYReplaced the monthly filter change that was filling landfills with this filter. It was easy to install and screws to replace the old ones so that the sides didn’t press against the filter. EXCELLENT REPLACEMENT AND CAN CLEAN MONTHLY WITHOUT THROWING MORE TRASH INTO LANDFILLS.

Had to cut to fitThe filter really should work well. Washed it twice so far but wasn’t all that dusty. Was an inch too long on the short side but was able to cut the frame and the inside filter just right. Takes some skill not recommended for everyone. Since the edge had a felt type flat lining I simply overlapped the extra and fits great. My only concern is a warning that the filter causes back pressure on the filtered side which might cause the furnace fan to overheat. Not sure if this is an issue since the furnace fan doesn’t slow down at all. If a motor slows then current goes up on the windings which causes them to get warmer or even hot enough to melt. Motors are designed to run at a certain RPM and FLA but there is some tollerance. All the vents blow the same as far as I can tell. The fan will cause a slight vaccum between the fan and the filter and lesser motors will slow slightly possibly but I have no way to find that out. I have a two speed capacitor start and keep it on slow speed even when the thermostat is on fan setting. Normally that makes the motor go to high speed. I am a licenced electrician so wired the motor not to go to high speed. Put my hand on the motor squirrel cage after a cycle and it wasn’t hot at all, barely warm. Right now 2 months and no problems. I’ll update in a few months if AMAZON allows that sort of thing.to keep ya’ll posted.😎

Direct replacement and long term savingsBuy the K&N filter cleaning spray when you buy this and depending how often you change your disposable ones (in our case it was every 3 months) we should break even after 3 years of owning this. We keep a disposable one available to use while we are cleaning the K&N filter. Rated MERV 11 so if you have allergies then this may help improve the air quality a little for you.
