Worth the moneyI am 79 year old knife maker and depend on my wood stove for heat in my 24 x 40 shop. I received my box of fat wood kindling today and immediately set to work building a fire. After laying the firewood in the firebox I was able to easily start it up using a single piece of fat wood, igniting it with my bic lighter and no paper. It took me back to my younger years while elk hunting with my dad using pitch wood we gathered from a pitch stump. No muss, no fuss. Highly recommend this product.

Its hit and missI like using fatwood and have always bought Plow & Hearth — I have to say each package can be different not really consistent — its (to me anyway) that there are times the fatwood sticks are not as potent as other orders (of the same product) — so it take more sticks to get and keep a fire going to start with — this could all be in my imagination but is my only real “complain” of the product — that and the cost is pretty expensive.
